Our Story.
It Started With a Pencil.
Before SPEECH was a clothing brand, it began with drawing.
I have been creating for as long as I can remember. My ideas were shaped by hip-hop, rap, football, art, graphic design and the street culture around me. I became fascinated by how something as simple as a T-shirt could say something before the person wearing it had spoken.
I started SPEECH because I wanted to create clothing that felt considered and original. Clothing with substance, a strong identity and a message behind it.
As the brand developed, so did its purpose. Life already gives us enough decisions to make, and getting dressed should not add more noise. That is why I design heavyweight garments that naturally work together: pieces that are easy to choose, easy to wear and still feel like you.
My wife and children are part of the thinking behind SPEECH. They keep me grounded, challenge my ideas and give me an honest perspective on what feels current. Although I founded the brand, it has never been built in isolation.
Supporting young people’s mental health also matters deeply to us. SPEECH donates 5% of its profits to YoungMinds because I want the brand to create something positive beyond the clothing itself.
SPEECH is independently designed in the North West of England and worn around the world. From our British roots to our global community, every piece carries the same purpose: to create clothing with substance, clarity and meaning.
